WHY

Screencraft (a video production agency) are moving to a new tenancy at the Dairy Road Precinct, which is a neighbourhood of creatives, makers, and other local businesses who occupy refurbished warehouse spaces. The Precinct has been regenerated by excellent design and articulate construction. The fitout of a new tenancy space amongst this field needed to follow suit.

HOW

The Screencraft fitout is based upon an open flow of circulation. Spaces fan around the perimetre windows to gather light, whilst also creating land-locked inner spaces where light was specifically not required. The open flow of circulation maximised the notion of space, but at the same time the pathway of visitors, versus that of staff, subtly parts ways. Drama is created in the approach to the Edit Suites with low light and dark finishes, whilst in communal spaces lofted ceilings and warm, tactile finishes dominate.
